"Does this look good?"
While Jenn and Vicki are busy with binding and pillows....I ran across this little article:

How exciting! We were "neighbors" with QBQuilts at the Gaston ECA Quilt Show - so excited to be their "neighbors" again! >grin<
Did this first Thursday in November bring you any unexpected surprises?
I was asked by a friend to make a baby quilt for a coworker. I happily agreed knowing it was just the perfect excuse to try out a new pattern we got in! Swoon, what a beautiful pattern designed by the talented Camille Roskelley. I absolutely love how it turned out, I used some of our remaining Pure line, it's going quick if you still need some the very few remaining yards can be found here.
I even embroidered his sweet little name in the corner ;)
I hope baby Everett loves it as much as I do. In fact, I loved it so much that you need to be on the look out for one being made out of this fabric! I'll post pictures when I get it done!
I love nothing more than going to a class and walking away with a finished product! Better than that, is when you're the teacher and your three students ROCK the fabric basket making world! These three ladies were awesome...
Here is Marilyn in action -
Linda and her finished fabric basket. She purchased some really cute Riley Blake fabric with big plans to make more baskets for Christmas gifts, perfect size to put some home made goodies in (which I heard are really good - don't forget about us Linda! ;)
Marilyn with her fabric basket, notice anything different? I love how the red ric-rac turned out! Very festive!
Here is Jean holding her basket, the corners were perfect - nicely done!
Thanks ladies for making this a fun and relaxing class, if you are interested in signing up for a future class check out our class section.

I got a wild idea from a watch magazine advertisement, and started a quilt design from scratch. I cleverly dragged the experts into the mix and Saturday evening turned into all-out event. Here is a sneak peak of what we are working on, and we'll post what we come up with when we are finished!....well, when one of us finishes! :-)
This weekend was the start of 90 degree weather here in Belmont, NC - and you won't hear a single complaint from Jenn about it. This kind of weather makes for a fun (and busy) weekend filled with quilting, working around the shop, and ice cream!
This past week we received our order of Sandy Gervais' Grand Finale line from Moda, and almost immediately we were all finding ways to use the deep, warm colors and prints in a project. Although we are a small shop, we still find a reason to dress it up a bit from time to time. There is a space near the front door that we kind of consider our mantel. We like to showcase one of the fabric lines we have available, and showcase a little creativity. For Grand Finale, Jenn made from the panel print, along with part of a charm pack. The half circles are incredible, and the turquoise along with the golds makes this little corner of the shop look like fall. Above the quilt is a little banner I made (yeah, that's right - David has a little skill!). It was fun to work with the scraps from Jenn's charm pack, a 1/4 yard of the orange (for the back of the bunting) and some scrap Moda marble brown.
So - the heat is rising outside, the air conditioning is running inside...but in a small corner of the shop there could be a nip in the air! Pumpkin carving anyone? ... or watermelon, maybe... ;-)
