Meet one of our newest collections called Flirt by Sandy Gervais. One of the many prints this line offers is a fun and whimsical panel featuring two sweet blue birds perched up high.
One of my favorite features in the quilt is the checkerboard around the inner border, reminds me of ribbon that's been woven.
The panel comes with two of the same prints, so the options are really endless of all the things you could do with it! The pattern uses the second panel as appliqué in the corners, which I think is a great idea and really adds a lot of detail without all that really tedious layering!
Last but not least is a close up of our backing. We used a bella solid for the backing and a neutral thread which really features the outline of hearts nicely. I just love the way it turned out!
