We have this sweet line called Feather N Stitch by Sarah Watts and I have been dying to make something from it, lucky (or unlucky) for me I don't have to because one of our customers made this beautiful quilt from it!
She used a churn dash block and put sashing between the blocks. If you've never made a churn dash block but would like to, there's a great tutorial on how to make a churn dash block by Sherri at A Quilting Life.
This customer likes a basic quilting design, so we chose a loop design. It's a nice, subtle, well spaced quilt design that doesn't compete with the blocks of the quilt.
I also love how she made the bird houses in the sashing go the same direction, and the birds fussy cut in the centers of the block… just perfection. So pleased we get to hang it in our store for a while, it may "get lost in transit" ... and end up on my bed!
