So maybe you have heard me talk about this new Pineapple Ruler we got in. Once the precutting is done, the Pineapple blocks practically make themselves (well not quite... but almost).
Here it is, doesn't look like much but it's super easy to use. Here are some pictures of the class we had, I was so impressed that every one finished one block!!
Terry not only finished one block in class, she got 75% done on her other blocks as well. She sent a picture of her whole quilt top completed later that night!

This Stitch in Color quilt has been a work in progress for quite some time. It has been patiently waiting in line to be quilted, with the perfect quilt design and thread choice it is now finished! The really fun thing about this quilt is one of our customers made the same quilt with some slight variations.
I love the way Holly's quilt turned out! The yellow sashing looks fabulous!!
Here's a little side by side view, the left being Holly's, the right being mine.
This quilt was one of those fun and quick quilts to make, no seam matching for the blocks! Gotta love those quilts!
I used a wool batting, giving it a really lofty look.
The binding print is probably my favorite out of the whole line, my husband say's it looks like q-tips. I didn't agree at first, but now that's all I can see when I look at that print.
Maybe next time around I'll make it out of some baby friendly fabrics for a quick baby quilt, I can just picture how fun it would look in pinks and purples!

I've been on a Christmas kick lately, mostly for sewing, but I have even managed to pick up an early gift here or there when I run across something prefect for that perfect someone (Yay me, because for the last two years I have been completely and utterly last minute). So here is another finished project, the pattern is called Vintage Christmas by Thimble Blossoms.
This is a really, really easy pattern. It also goes together incredibly quick, the most time consuming part is choosing your fat quarters to use. Yep, I said fat quarters, this pattern is fat quarter friendly. I love patterns that are fat quarter friendly! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has a fat quarter stash, just waiting for the prefect project to come along... or am I? Nah.... can't be.
Here is my favorite block. The pattern has 12 different ornaments, I only chose four because I wanted a table runner for our naked kitchen table.
I used Vintage Modern by Bonnie and Camille, the pattern cover also features it nicely. We have four different fat quarter bundles of Vintage Modern that would work great with this pattern. I'm enjoying that it's not traditional Christmas fabric, the vintage look. I think it gives it a nice, fresh look.

Have you seen Kate Spain's new Christmas line Joy?? It has a sweet panel, that is actually a pretty good size measuring 36" x width of fabric. I just added on an outside border of 4" and it made a nice size throw. The "inner border" is actually part of the panel, making it even less work to only have to add one border!
These are a few of my favorite blocks in the panel.
I quilted it with an all over Christmas light design. This is probably the earliest I have ever finished a Christmas project!
I also made this adorable cinch bag. A very quick project that would be a perfect hostess gift filled with some goodies! I may have to remember that when in 5 months we start going to Christmas parties... yep, I said it, Christmas is 5 MONTHS away!!

So Charming Bungle Jungle doesn't have quite the same ring as
Charming Lucy, but it's charming in it's own way! This little
Bungle Jungle quilt is a quick and easy baby quilt for that last minute baby shower gift you need to make (ya'll know which one I'm talking about, unless I'm the only procrastinator around here...?)
This pattern goes together so fast, and it only takes one charm pack of your liking and some background yardage. Luckily this picture isn't a spoiler alert for anyone I know, just a store sample.
So if you stop by to visit, make sure to take a look at it, the pictures don't do this cute fabric any justice!

I have been diligently finishing up some UFO's and I ran across
my first paper pieced block I did. I had made so many mistakes with it, let's
just call it a learning experience. Because of all my mistakes I wasn't really
sure what to do with it, so I thought it would make a really cute pillow.
The fabric is Bespoken by Art Gallery. The softest, silkiest fabric - a pure pleasure to work with!
So while I wasn't completely pleased with how my one block turned out, I am quite happy with the way my new pillow turned out! If you haven't paper pieced before, my one tip to you would be don't be skimpy with the fabric. If the piece you think you need is 2" x 2", just cut 3" x 3" to be sure. Do a little google search to read some of the tips and tricks out there to come up with the perfect paper pieced block, you're bound to come up with at least one perfect block (or in my case semi-perfect block).

I made this cute little dish towel the other week and just wanted to share how it turned out. It's no secret that I love Bonnie and Camille's fabric (what ever line it is, I can guarantee I have it). I wanted to do something a little different with this fabric than just making a quilt, so I ran across some dish towels I had lying around for a while and thought I wouldn't mind doing some cheater applique with them.
I really like how it turned out, but with those colors how could you not??
Here's a close up of the cheater applique. Traditional hexagons are all hand stitched - if you know one thing about me, I'm not a hand stitching type of girl. So I used some heat and bond, and edge stitched. It may not be traditional but I sure like how quick the project finished up!
Ready for use - although I think it maybe be too pretty to be used in our house!
If anyone is interested, there will be some kits posted soon. Check back for an update of where they can be found.
