Schnibbles Parade featuring Bibelot
I have always wanted to participate in the Schnibbles parade but never could quite commit to completing the quilt in time. This month their featuring the Bibelot pattern which really appeals to me because the blocks look like "T"s. My excuse to keep this quilt is because it has my last name initial is all over it, unfortunately my mom can say the same thing - I hope she doesn't claim it as her own with the same logic!
I decided to use the beautiful Hello Luscious line by BasicGrey. I had fun putting all these nice pinks and greens together, I think the fabric really features the pattern nicely.
I used a large paisley design for the quilting, it mimics some of the fabric designs. The backing is my favorite print in the whole line, I just couldn't resist using it!
Sadly it's too late to participate in the Schnibbles parade for March (unless you're a super human quilter and can get a whole top pieced in one night...) but you can always join along next month, I'm sure it will be just as fabulous of a pattern!

Look what just arrived - Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket. This fabric is so much fun! It's whimsical, playful and the little details in the fabric like whale tails and fish scales make it so interesting!

A Flock of Flying Geese
I have been attacked by flying geese... well, maybe it's the other way around. I'm afraid to count how many flying geese are actually in this stack. We have this cool new flying geese tool I can't wait to show off! More on that later.
This tool makes flying geese incredibly easy, and I have gone overboard (obviously). I have an idea of what I'm going to use them for, but for now, I will just admire all the pretty colors from this new Sandy Gervais line called Sassy.

Block of the Month - Countdown to Christmas
"Countdown to Christmas" is our first 'Block of the Month' program for Quilted Thimble Cottage. It is a sampler-style quilt with blocks designed by several Moda fabric designers. Each block offered a unique way to show off Sweetwater's Countdown to Christmas fabric line, with its array of traditional colors and patterns. Our program offered folks the opportunity to quilt through 12 blocks in 4 months. Each person was encouraged to complete 3 of the 12 blocks per month, and if they did they would get an entry into a drawing to have their project quilted for free! We had 8 folks entered into the drawing, with 30 entries. We used this list, along with a random number generator to select our winner.
Colors a Plenty
Look at all these beautiful felt pieces! I have big plans for these (well, maybe not all of them yet but it's early still)
