Whether this is your first time learning how to use your sewing machine, or you are just looking for some help with additional techniques, our Sewing 101 class is a great fit for you!
In this class we give you three (3) sessions at 2 ½ hours each, where we bring from you introductory concepts to fun, finished projects! In this class series, you will be introduced to your sewing machine and some of its features, learn sewing terminology, pressing versus ironing, patterns (reading & cutting), buttonholes, insert invisible/OR regular zipper, casings, blind hem stitch, sew buttons on by machine, as well as flat felt seams.
We will also discuss threads, needles, fabrics, and reference books. There is much fun to be had and lots to learn with projects such as pillowcases, sleepwear, and decorative pillow covers. Classes are the first, second and third Saturday of every month.
Each class may have up to 4 students. Before your class we will send you an email with instructions on the supplies and materials that you should bring with you to class. All of these materials (including fabric) are also available in our shop, so come early and receive 10% of your purchase for class materials.
As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to give us a call! You can reach us at 704-266-6445, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
