Whether this is your first time learning how to quilt, or you are just looking brush up on additional techniques, our Quilting 101 class is a great fit for you!
In this class we give you three (3) sessions at 2 ½ hours each, where we teach you introductory concepts and walk you through creating a quilt top. In this class series, you will review the operation of your sewing machine and some of its features, learn quilting terminology, cutting techniques using the rotary cutter and a straight edge, pressing techniques, use a quarter inch and scant quarter inch seam allowance, matching points, cutting bias and sewing binding with mitered corners.
Classes are offered the first, second and third Saturday of the month. Each class may have up to 4 students. After enrollment, we will send you an email with instructions on the supplies and materials that you should bring with you to class. All of these materials (including fabric) are also available in our shop.
